lyrics

Hungry Blues

Oh well it rained all night
and it poured all day
wash my blues away
and then i wont drown

the cupboard is empty again
oh my belly cries out
I’m so hungry
I think I might die

See us working the street
begging for pennies to eat
well we’re dragging our feet
We need some sleep
I watch the girls pass by
try to catch their eye
get a warm place to sleep
Maybe something to eat

Ah well it rained all night
and it poured all day
wash my blues away
and then i wont drown

the cupboard is empty again
oh my belly cries out
I’m so hungry
That I think I might die
